Dear Parents, Guardians, Gymnasts

With Lockdown 2 started from today 5th November the committee has had to look at how we manage this time.

With Lockdown 1 we agreed as a committee to suspend all payments for that period but still provide service (training) via Zoom, this was to try to support our families through this unprecedented time. It lasted a lot longer than originally thought before we were able to resume training in our venue. Training had also changed, and we were providing smaller class sizes and therefore our ability to recoup losses or even cover costs were limited.

Thanks to donations our losses over that time were limited to approximately £1000.00 per month.

We cannot afford as a club to continue to support to that level moving forward. We need to cover our costs of Insurances, Music license, 2 part time staff, accounting package, zoom package, Club website, first aid and other continuous training required of all coaches.

We have agreed that we can reduce everyone’s fees to 50% of current fee charge, corrected invoices for November will be sent out shortly. This will cover our overheads ensuring the club has a future and hold your place for when we do return to training again. We will be providing the following Zoom sessions and we hope that all will take advantage of this.

RAC Training: Monday 5.00-6.30, Tuesday 5.00-6.30, Thursday 5.00-6.00

SQUAD Training: Monday 6.45-8.15, Tuesday 6.45-8.15, Thursday 5.00-6.00

IAC/General gymnastics class: Wednesday 5.00-6.30

Zoom can be accessed through the zoom website where you click “join a meeting” or by downloading the zoom app onto your smart device and again clicking “join a meeting” here is where you enter the meeting code and wait for the coach to accept your request into the training room.

Zoom training can be done in a small space however some things may need to be adapted. Please ensure the area is as safe as possible and if your child is young please supervise to ensure their and your furniture/pets/siblings’ safety.

If your child/ren are shy about being on camera, you can still join in but have the camera turned off. Please ensure that your device you use has your child’s name on it so we can register who is attending. Any technical queries on this please contact Natalie – natalie@sukiagc.co.uk
