Suki Competition Report
On Saturday 25th June and Sunday 26th June we hosted our annual competition at Fareham Leisure Centre. On Saturday the introductory team competed in the morning with the national and international team competing in the afternoon, this is not something that normally happens, but it was a fantastic opportunity for the introductory gymnasts to see what Is possible if they continue to work hard, smart and continue developing.
Suki was honoured to take 35 gymnasts to this event which broke down in the following:
Level 1 in Aerobic Gymnastics:
3 Introductory Aerobic Code Teams (9 gymnasts in total)
Level 2 in Aerobic Gymnastics
14 Regional Aerobic Code Gymnasts (10 routines)
Level 3 in Aerobic Gymnastics
9 National Aerobic Code Gymnasts (10 routines)
Level 4 in Aerobic Gymnastics
1 Foundation Gymnast (aged 9 years this year)
2 FIG Gymnasts
It was a fantastic competition due to the reduced pressure on the gymnasts’ shoulders as this is not classified as a major competition in their calendar year. We also received excellent feedback from those who attended saying how relaxed it was, along with how smoothly the event ran. Our team did an amazing job, and we were extremely proud of each gymnast who competed. We also had several first-time competitors which was lovely to see and be part of!
